League Legacy v5
Taking your league to another level, again.
It’s been a big few months.
Since the 2025 recap in January, I’ve been heads-down on v5 - and today it’s officially live. This is the largest single release League Legacy has shipped, and I’m genuinely excited to walk you through everything that’s new.
v5 is built around one idea: your league has a history worth preserving. Not just standings and scores, but players, playoff runs, legendary moments, and stories that only your league can tell. That’s what this release is all about.
There’s a lot to cover - I’ve broken out some of the major features into their own articles that I’ll summarize and link to below. And then I’ll touch on some of the application-wide updates here in more detail.
One more thing to announce before we get started - consider this “Part One” of our 2026 updates. There is quite a bit more on the way to enhance the experience for you and your league.
The goal will be to drop a new update every ~week heading into the season. So stick around and keep your eyes out!
Players
League Legacy now tracks individual player performance across your entire league history. Career stats, weekly charts, draft history, transaction records, championship rings - it’s all there. Every player who’s ever suited up for a team in your league now has a profile, stats, and more!
Playoffs
We’ve completely rebuilt how playoff history is tracked and displayed. Playoff Participation, predictors, championship streaks & droughts - your postseason story has never been told this clearly.
Hall of Fame
Commissioners can now induct league members into a Hall of Fame (and a Hall of Shame) — with custom headlines, bios, and plaques organized by class year. The greatest moments in your league’s history, permanently enshrined.
Newsletter Special Editions: Draft Scouting Reports & Draft Grades
The newsletter system got a major upgrade too. AI-powered draft recaps, draft grades, redesigned season recaps, and more. If your league runs newsletters, you’re going to notice a big difference.
UI / UX
With every update - I iterate on the UI and UX to make the experience as clean and smooth as possible.
This year I added a nice quality-of-life update with the new collapsible navigation bar. While a minor change in the grand scheme of things - I’ve found this more useful than expected as a way to get more screen real estate and better see all my stats and charts - particularly as my season history grows.
One area you may notice some minor updates is the Record Book - my favorite feature - got a redesigned inner-navigation, some new charts and stats, and overall displays much more organized and easier for us to grow to new categories in the future (stay tuned)!
You can also check out some nice visual updates to pages like the Schedule, Rules, Commissioner Notes, and more.
There are dozens of other minor UI tweaks throughout the site that you may or may not notice, but it’s always fun to put an extra layer of polish on things each year.
Franchises
In v5, League Members has been upgraded to League Franchises! Franchises are the new way of referring to the history of a member overtime - and we rebuilt the entire franchise experience to consolidate all the historical data in one spot.
You can now browse through each franchises entire league history - every team, matchup, draft pick, players’ performance, achievements unlocked, records owned, and more.
This is the ultimate home for each of your members’ league history.
That’s not all though - in Commissioner Tools - you can now manage more specifics for each Franchise - including setting their bio, custom franchise colors, and more!
Seasons
We couldn’t leave out a redesign for your League Seasons pages! Similarly to Franchises, League Seasons gets a new design and view where you can see every team, draft pick, transaction, season player data, records set for that season, recaps, and more - all in one easy to navigate place.
Versus & Rivalries
One of the more entertaining features for Leagues is viewing their performance vs another member in our H2H or Versus feature. This year we revamped this to show even more data and easier to navigate and see all your battles vs other league franchises.
We’re also excited to introduce a new “Rivalries” feature!
Rivalries can be setup by the Commissioner between two members, and will automatically track this history between those two franchises. You can have historical and current rivalries, customize them as you want, and highlight them on the Versus pages.
We’ll be building off of Rivalries in the near future with some new records planned soon!
Draft Grades
If you’ve jumped ahead to checkout our Newsletter updates - you may have seen we have a new Special Edition Newsletter for Draft Recaps. This fun new newsletter utilizes Draft Grades to recap each franchises draft results against common ADP rankings.
Those Draft Grades are available for each season you Drafted as a new Tab on your Draft pages.
This is a great way to get some some insights (and laughs) into not only how your 2026 draft shakes out - but also to retroactively see how the grades held up against the actual season results! Were the “experts” right? Or did you beat the curve?
Mobile v2
What is an update without a mobile update? Worry not - it’s on its way! Working on final tweaks and app-store approval - soon all these great new features will be coming straight into your pocked on our mobile version (and maybe some surprises, too)!
Much more on the way - and as always, if you run into anything weird or have ideas, reach out at john@leaguelegacy.io.
